WWF Germany
The WWF is the largest independent private environmental protection organization worldwide.
The Panda logo is one the ten most recognized logos in the world.
Our subsidiaries in Austria and France closely co-operate with their national WWF organizations and organize environmental protection campaigns together.
In Austria, the campaign’s motto is ”Frosch and WWF protect frogs in Austria“ and deals with the protection of the March-Thaya floodplain in the Austrian/Slovakian frontier area, a huge area between the metropolitan areas of Vienna and Bratislava. Alluvial waters are an oasis for a variety of animals. 300 bird species live here or use the area as a resting place on their way south. Unfortunately, the missing river dynamics have also lead to a significant decrease in the number of many amphibians (e.g. moor frog, fire-bellied toad, tree frog, and Danube crested newt). Therefore, ponds and backwaters must be revitalized to ensure that they carry water again and thus provide open habitats (habitats for animals and plants).

In France, we run a campaign with the WWF and the ecologically-oriented brand Rainett for the protection of water: In a competition the best water protection initiatives in France have received awards.
