New ecological headquarters building in Mainz

A new head office was created at our headquarters in Mainz between May 2009 and autumn 2010 – and we made a special effort with this new building in terms of its environmental orientation.
The building has been designed with respect to energy in such as way that it produces more than it consumes.
The exemplary ecological result has been achieved through a procedure similar to that adopted for our Frosch brand. We don't invest huge amounts of money in perfecting a good feature but make sure that as many constituents as possible expedite the environmental orientation. Taken together, all of this should produce an outstanding overall result.

The new building received the prestigious Rhineland-Palatinate Environmental Award in June 2010 even before its official inauguration.

A Sustainable Energy Concept for an Administrative Building (only in german available)

Our new building is characterised by:

  • The use of geothermal energy through an appropriate plant
  • The user of solar energy via a photovoltaic system on the building's roof
  • 16 small wind turbines on the roof will provide the entire electricity needed for the geothermal energy plant's pumps
  • Maximum thermal insulation of the glass façade
  • The unusual aspect of the new headquarters becomes apparent straight away in the foyer: visitors enter a "feel-good" area and are immediately convinced by its materials, animated wall of plants and a large area of water, giving the overall impression of a natural oasis. This naturalness is continued in the staff restaurant as well as the office furnishings.
  • We have managed to create a visible connection to the topic which our company feels very strongly about: sustainability!
