Frosch brand wins environmental prize

Our company’s brand Frosch has been named the “absolute favourite” of consumers when it comes to environmental protection by “Reader’s Digest” magazine in its first environmental award covering all German companies and brands.

This was the first time that the special prize for the brand with the best reputation in the field of environmental protection/sustainability was awarded, and the prize was presented by the Mayoress of Dusseldorf Gudrun Hock. At the award ceremony, she explained how much sustainability and environmental protection have grown in importance in consumer behaviour in recent years. She added that Frosch is a brand that has long been committed to these issues and therefore enjoys the trust of its customers.

The prize was awarded by “Reader’s Digest” magazine on 3 September 2010 in Dusseldorf. More than 32,000 readers in 16 European countries took part in the magazine’s study of the most trusted brands.

On the topic of environmental protection, the participants selected the brand Frosch as their favourite, without being given a list of brands to choose from. “Trustworthiness is our strongest asset, and we achieve this thanks to the combination of excellent performance, a consistent focus on the environment and relevant innovations. We will continue to systematically increase the trustworthiness of our environmental brand”, promises Reinhard Schneider, Chairman of the Management Board of Werner & Mertz.

In addition to the environmental award, Frosch increased its lead over the other brands in the award for most trusted German brand among domestic cleaning products.
